All Tribes Initiatives often meets with key community leaders to understand ethnic or other tribe-specific origins, shared history, traditions and the like. ATI’s aim in these interactions is to assist these leaders in educating or communicating the rich tribal heritage with other community members who may be unaware. Such education has been shown to lift minority or at-risk communities out of collective discouragement or division. It also often helps foster the unity, confidence, and shared identity a community needs to move forward together toward greater overall health, well-being, and participation in the larger society.
